Wardlow started in 2023 with a simple observation: operations teams spend most of their week on work that is necessary, repetitive and nobody’s actual job. We’re 58 people in San Francisco, New York and London.

Ines Moreau grew the operations team at a payments company from 40 people to 600. She noticed that most of their week went on the same few things: copying data between systems, chasing approvals and answering “where is it?” None of it was the work they had been hired to do.
Sam Adeyemi had spent years building automation for a cloud software company, and had watched it fail quietly: a script breaks, nobody notices, and a month of invoices goes unpaid. He wanted software that showed every step it took.
Wardlow is what they built together: agents that do the routine work, a record of every action, and a person who signs off on anything that matters.

Agents need job descriptions.
A good hire knows what they’re responsible for and what they’re not. So does a good agent. Each Wardlow agent has one job, written down, with limits a person signed off. We don’t sell a general assistant that tries everything, because nobody can be accountable for one.
The record matters as much as the result.
A refund issued correctly but without a record is a problem waiting for an audit. Every run is logged with what the agent read, what it decided and why, because the people who answer for the work need to be able to explain it.
People make the calls that matter.
We measure ourselves on how much routine work agents take on, and on how cleanly they hand off the rest. An agent that never asks for help isn’t confident. It’s badly configured.

No agent acts alone on day one. It drafts, your team approves, and it earns its limits case type by case type. It’s slower for a week and faster for years.
