One email a month

What we shipped, and what we learned running agents in production.

Today we’re announcing a $32M Series A led by Sablewood Ventures, with Harrowgate Capital and Fallow Street Capital joining again. It brings our total funding to $39M.

Why we started

Before Wardlow, I ran operations at a payments company. We grew the team from 40 people to 600, and I watched most of their week go on the same few things: copying data between systems, chasing approvals, answering “where is it?” None of it was the work we had hired them to do. Sam Adeyemi, my co-founder, had spent years building automation that failed quietly: a script breaks, nobody notices, and a month of invoices goes unpaid.

We started Wardlow in 2023 to build agents that do the routine work and show every step they take, with a person who signs off on anything that matters.

Where we are

Wardlow’s agents now run in production at more than 140 operations teams in payments, lending, insurance, health, logistics and software. In 2026 so far they’ve completed 3.4 million runs: tickets answered, invoices matched, customers onboarded, checks completed. Across our customers, the median team has its first workflow live in 21 days and sees cost per case fall by 62% in the first quarter.

The number we watch most closely isn’t on that list. It’s how quickly a person can decide a case that an agent hands off. Today the median is six minutes. That number tells us whether our customers’ people are still in charge, or just cleaning up after software.

What the money is for

Three things.

  • More deployment engineers. Every customer’s first workflow is set up with one of our engineers, and that won’t change. We’re doubling the team so we can say yes to more customers without longer waits.

  • A London office. A growing share of our customers operate in Europe and need their data to stay there. EU hosting is live; now we need people in the same time zone.

  • Deeper guardrails. Policies that read your written procedures directly, approval rules that follow your org chart, and better tools for compliance teams reviewing the Run Log.

What won’t change

We won’t ship an agent that can act without limits a person has signed off. We won’t train models on customer data. And every new workflow will go through shadow mode, drafting while your team approves, before it acts on its own. Those rules are why security teams say yes to us, and they matter more as we grow.

Thank you

To our customers, who trusted us with work that touches their money and their customers. To our team, all 58 of them. And to Sablewood, Harrowgate and Fallow Street, who understood from the first meeting that the record matters as much as the result.

We’re hiring in San Francisco, New York and London. If you want to build agents that do real work under real rules, see our open roles.
